Course Description

Chronic pain affects all aspects of one’s self-image, which includes movement. An essential part of recovering function and managing pain is learning how to move comfortably and safely. This workshop isn’t about exercise; it’s about movement and learning. Kinesiophobia, or fear of movement, can be effectively addressed through developing curiosity, awareness and attention to the quality of movement. The benefits to someone with chronic pain goes beyond moving and improves agency and confidence, and enlarges one’s self–image. The workshop has both lecture and experiential activities that are easy to do, pleasurable and inclusive.

NOTE: In order to obtain the CE credit certificate you’ll need to fill out an evaluation of the course and pass the quiz on the video content that will be revealed at the end of the video.
